Peshawar Zalmi In PSL 2020

Though, six teams have been canalized by PSL Management to participate in PSL 2020, but no team can beat the passion when it comes to Peshawar Zalmi. The Khapal Team is the biggest sports entity valuing US$40.5 in Pakistan. They came third in the first season of PSL, but claimed their first title in PSL 2017 season. However, they have been coming as the runner ups from the previous two season. Guess, it is time for Peshawar Zalmi to finally claim their title back.

Peshawar Zalmi portray the Youth of Peshawar City. This team have specifically dedicated their PSL campaigns to the Youngsters of Peshawar City. Squad

Peshawar Zalmi completed their team Squad in the PSL 2020 Draft. Darren Sammy, Wahab Riaz and Hassan ALi are the players retained from 2016 by Yellow Storm Squad. Whereas, Kamran and Liam Dawson signed their contract in PSL 2018, they are also included in PSL 2020 Team Squad for Peshawar Zalmi. On the other hand, Imam ul Haq, Umar Amin and Kieron Pollard were retained by Peshawar Zalmi before PSL 2020 Draft took place.

Javed Afridi (Owner)

The Ceo of Haier Electornics Mr Javed Afridi is the owner of Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2020. Mr Javed Afridi bought the Peshawar Zalmi Franchise team since the first season of Pakistan Super League. Haier Electronics is a Chinese Electronics Company in Pakistan. In addition, Haier is also the Main Title Sponsor for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 5.

Darren Sammy (Captain)

After PSL 2017, Peshawar Zalmi changed their captaincy and made Darren Sammy their new captain. Since than, Darren Sammy have lead Peshawar Zalmi. The Yellow Storm became the PSL champions in 2017. Darren Sammy is the Former West Indies captain who lead the Caribbean Team in ICC T20 World Cup 2016 with taking them to the title of T20 Champions.

Mohammad Akram ( Head Coach)

The British Commentator and Former Pakistani Cricketer Mohammad Akram is the Head coach for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 5. Akram have played 9 tests and 23 ODIs for Pakistan from 1995 to 2001.

Younis Khan ( Batting Coach and Mentor)

Former Pakistan Captain Younis Khan is the Batting Coach and Mentor for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2020. He lead Pakistan in 2009. He joined Peshawar Zalmi from PSL 2016 and since then he has been coaching Yellow Storm in the batting department. Apart from coaching, Younis also Mentors Peshawar Zalmi in PSL T20 League.
