IPL 2021 Schedule PDF Download – Indian Premier League 2021

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has just announced the Schedule for IPL 2021. According to this announcement, the 14th Season of Indian Premier League is going to be held from 9th April to 30th May 2021 in India. Eight teams are said to be participating in this season of IPL. IPL 2021 Schedule

Well, at last the news is out for all those enthusiastic Indian cricket fans who are eagerly waiting for IPL 2021. The most popular T20 Cricket League is coming back to fill Cricket Stadium in India. This is going to be a great event for Indian Cricket fans, as IPL 2021 will start from 9th April 2021 in India. The Defending Champions Mumbai Indian will meet Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 1st match for IPL 2021 on 9th April at Chennai Cricket Stadium, Chennai.

League Format

The Schedule of 14th Season of Indian Premier League have been divided into two two stages. The first Stage is called League stage. Each team will take on other opponent teams in this stage in double round robin format. The second stage is called play off stage. The top four teams finishing high in the group stage will qualify for this stage. Where, they will meet opponent teams to qualify for the final.

  2. Knockout Stage (top four teams from League Stage will battle for the title)

Teams

Eight teams have been finalized by the BCCI to participate in the 14th season of Indian Premier League. These teams include Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Whereas, Mumbai Indians are the defending Champions in IPL 14 season. All these teams have completed their teams squad in IPL 2021 Draft held on 18th February 2021 in Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings Team Squad

Chennai Super Kings are one of the original teams which took part in the debuting season of Indian Premier League in 2008. They came 2nd in the opening season on IPL. But, reached the semi finals in 2009. However, CSK held the IPL title for two consecutive years from 2010 to 2011. Following two years for CSK fans were so saddening when they finished as runner up in 2012 and 2013.

Sadly, Chennai Super Kings were suspended for 2016 to 2017 over the match fixing charges and corruption. However, 2018 marked the return of CSK in IPL and in the same year they reclaimed back their IPL title. However, they lost the IPL once again in the coming year to Mumbai Indians.

MS Dhoni will lead Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. Chennai Super Kings represent the Kingly spirit of the people of Chennai City in India. CSK retained 19 players from the previous year and released five players in the IPL 2021 Auction. Chennai Super Kings have following team squad in IPL 2021.

Delhi Capitals Team Squad

Delhi Daredevils were among the first eight teams to play in the opening season of Indian Premier League in 2008. Unfortunately, they have not been able to win any IPL title since than. In 2018, Delhi Daredevils renamed their team to Delhi Capitals. This team represents the mighty size of Delhi, the capital city of India.

This team retained twelve players from their previous squad and released nine players before IPL Auction 2021. Sheryas Iyer is captaining Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021. The rest of the Delhi Capitals team squad in 2021 is as following.

Since 2008, Kings XI Punjab have been the part of Indian Premier League, Participating in each IPL season. However, they have not been able to claim any title to their name til yet. In 2021, Kings XI Punjab changed their name to Punjab Kings. PK retained 14 players and released seven players in IPL Auction 2021. This team represents the Kingly stature of People of Punjab state in India.

Kolkata Knight Riders are the third most popular team in Indian Premier League. They have been participating in every season of IPL. KKR have claimed the IPL title in 2012 and 2014. Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan and Famous Actress Johi Chawala own Kolkata Knight Riders. Apart from it, KKR holds the record of longest winning streak by any team in T20 format.

Mumbai Indian Team Squad

Mumbai Indians stand tall among other IPL teams in number of titles won. They have been playing IPL since 2008 and they have become the IPL champions for four times now. Currently, they are also the defending Champions in IPL 2021. They won the IPL title in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

The hitman of National Indian Cricket Team Rohit Sharma is captaining Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021. MI retained fifteen players and released ten players in IPL Auction 2021. The full squad of Mumbai Indian in IPL 14 is as:

Rajhastan became the first ever champions of Indian Premier League in 2008. Since then, they have not been able to win IPL title. In addition, they also got suspended along with Chennai Super Kings from 2016 to 2017 over match fixing charges. Perhaps, IPL 14 will mark the new age for the Rajhastan Royals.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the few IPL teams which have been playing in Indian Players since 2008 and never been able to win any title. However, RCB are dedicated for IPL 2021. They removed all their post from their social media platforms including facebook, Twitter, Insta and YouTube. Every one was in shock about it. Even, Virat Kohli was not aware about this matter.

However, on 15th February RCB broke the silence and introduced new Logo, jersey and Kit. This marked a new era and new dawn for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Star Network India have purchased the Live Broadcast rights for Indian Premier League from 2018 to 2022 2.55 billion US Dollars.
