Sri Lankan Cricket Board has announced the Sri Lanka Team Squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. As per reports, Wanindu Hasaranga is going to captain the Sri Lanka cricket team in the T20 WC 2024. SCB has also included Charith Asalanka and Angelo Mathews in the 15-member team squad for the upcoming tournament.
The most awaited T20 event ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is just a month away from its inauguration. This mega T20 tournament will take place in the West Indies and USA between 1st and 29th June 2024.

The top 20 cricketing sides of the world will compete in 55 matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. However, the top 20 T20 sides based on ICC T20 Rankings will directly appear in the 1st stage.
Sri Lanka is currently placed in 8th place in the International T20 Rankings. Now Sri Lanka will take part in the 9th season of T20 World Cup with all their might.
Sri Lanka is going to make their 9th official appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup. Their playing record in this tournament looks pretty decent as Sri Lanka also won the Champions Title in 2014. At the same time, they have also reached the Finals in history in 2009.
