After a fantastic season of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, ICC has now planned the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 for Cricket fans. This is going to be the 9th season of the T20 World Cup in Which Australia will defend their title against 19 other teams. In addition, 20 teams will play 55 matches this season to conclude the T20 World Title winners. All these T20 World Cup 2024 matches will be held in India. ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule
As per the announcement of ICC, the T20 World Cup 2024 will be held in the West Indies and the USA in June 2024. A total of 20 teams will be participating in this season of the T20 World Cup to compete for the title. All these Teams including Australia, Pakistan, India, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan have been qualified for the Group Stage. However, Oman, the USA, Papua New Guinea, and other teams also reached through the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifiers Tournament.
ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Tournament Format
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has been divided into two stages.
- Group Stage
- Knockout Stage
Group Stage
The First Stage of this T20 World Cup is called the Group stage. All the qualifying 20 teams with compete against each other in this stage. Big teams including India Pakistan Australia England Afghanistan Bangladesh New Zealand and South Africa have qualified for this stage. Whereas West Indies Sri Lanka Ireland Zimbabwe and other Associate teams also joined through the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers tournament stage.
