ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule announced

Just In! The International Cricket Council has announced ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule. As per the announcement, the 8th season of the T20 World Cup will take place from 16th October to 13th November 2022 in Australia. A total of 16 teams will take part in this season of T20 WC. The Inaugural match will take place between Sri Lanka and Namibia at Simonds Stadium, Geelong on 16th October.

Round 1

The T20 World Cup 2022 edition will start with 1st Round Group A Teams Sri Lanka and Namibia taking on each other on 16th October 2022. Whereas, Two qualifying teams in group A will clash on the same day in the evening.

Whereas, West Indies, Scotland, and two other qualifying teams making up Group B will meet the next Day in Bellerive Oval, Hobart. The Round 1 matches will be held until 21 October. In the end, the Top two teams from both groups will proceed to the Super 12 stage of the tournament.

Super 12

The 2nd Stage of the tournament Super 12 will start on 22nd October in Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney. The first match in Super 12 will be held between Group 1 participants Australia and New Zealand. The match will be followed by England vs Afghanistan match in the evening.

Arch Rivals Pakistan and India will meet on 23rd October. The group matches will be finalized on 6th November. The top two teams from Group 1 and Group 2 will qualify for the playoffs.

India Vs Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2022

Group 2 will entertain Cricket fans around the globe with a heavyweight match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on 23rd October & Pm Local time in Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. Pakistan will then meet Afghanistan on 3rd November in Sydney.

Bangladesh begin its campaign on 24 October at Hobart, taking on the Runner ups of Group A from the first round. The Super 12 stage will conclude on 06th September with three games of Group 2 teams involving South Africa, Pakistan, and India.

Semi-finals

The first semi-final will be held in Sydney on 09 November at 2:30 pm local time. The second semi-final will be hosted by Adelaide on 10 November. Both semi-finals have reserve days.

The final

The marquee clash of the tournament will take place in Melbourne at 7 pm local time on 13 November, Sunday, with Monday acting as the reserve day for the final.
