ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is the 2^nd highest Cricket Championship tournament in which top 10 women cricketing sides from all across the globe appears and compete for the title of Champions of T20 Cricket. ICC Women’s T20 World Cup comes after intervals of 2 years whereas teams participate in this event are selected through qualification rounds.

The 1^st ever edition of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was launched back in 2009 whereas the 7^th successful season of this event will be held in February 2020. Australia Women team are the defending champions of current edition as the winner side has defeated England in Women’s T20 World Cup 2018 in the Finals by 8 wickets and become the T20 Champions for the 4^th time in the history.

Women’s T20 World Cup Winners List

The very first edition of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was launched in 2009 whereas England was the country who was honored to host that event. The English women side has not only host pioneer edition of Women’s T20 World Cup 2009 but also become the 1^st women side to won T20 Championship title as England has defeated in the finals of that world cup by 6 wickets.

In 2010, the 2^nd season of Women’s T20 World Cup was held in West Indies and in that season Australia reached Final after displaying some brilliant cricket and defeated New Zealand women team by 3 runs to become the Champions of T20 cricket for the 1^st time in history.

The 3^rd edition of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was hosted by Sri Lanka in 2012 and in that season Australian women team once again showcased their extra ordinary cricketing skills and won championship title for the 2^nd time in the row by defeating England in the Finals by 4 runs.

Bangladesh has hosted the 4^th edition of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup back in 2014. Australian Women team for the 3^rd time reached the finals and defeated English women side in the finals by 6 wickets. With that victory Aussies Women claimed their T20 Trophy for the 3^rd consecutive time.

The 5^th season of Women’s T20 World Cup was held in 2016 and that edition was hosted by India. After thrilling group stage competitions West Indies women team reached the Finals and defeated three times champions Australia by 8 wickets and become T20 Champions for the 1^st time in the history.

In 2018 the 6^th version of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was held in 2018 in West Indies and in this edition Australia women side succeeds to re-take their clown of champions after defeating England in the Final match by 8 wickets.
