Just In! Pakistan’s T20 Batter & Wicket Keeper Mohammad Rizwan has been crowned the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for September 2022. Rizwan who opens with Babar Azam in the T20 format scored 7 fifties in 10 games during the month of September. He is also ranked the No 1 T20 Batsman on ICC T20 Rankings for Batters.
The International Cricket Council shortlisted three candidates for the Player of the month award for September. Mohammad Rizwan Cameroon Green and Axar Patel were among the three candidates shortlisted for this award. Rizwan claimed the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for his magnificent seven fifties in 10 games during the last month.
This is another feather in the hat of the No1 T20 Batsman in the World. Rizwan has already broken many records with his consistency in batting. He has also set many records with his captain and opening partner Babar Azam in the T20 format.
This is welcoming news for Pakistani cricket fans ahead of the mega cricket tournament of the T20 World Cup 2022. Rizwan is all set to open with Babar Azam in the T20 WC 2022 on Australian venues. The two are considered one of the most dangerous T20 batting pairs in the world.
