Just In! BCCI has announced that Former Indian Cricket captain MS Dhoni will mentor Indian Cricket team in T20 World Cup 2021. Dhoni who captained India in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 T20 World Cups will now join India cricket team as the Mentor. Currently, MS Dhoni has retired from International cricket and mentors Chennai Super Kings will now be mentoring Indian Cricket team in T20 World Cup 2021.
The official Twitter handle of BCCI broke this news on internet. BCCI also announced the Indian Team Squad for T20 World Cup. As per the announcement, Virat Kohli will captain Indian cricket team in T20 World Cup 2021. BCCI have also recalled Ravichandaran Ashwin to play for India in the T20 World Cup 2021. Given the slow pitch conditions in UAE and Oman his inclusion is a positive sign for Indian cricket fans.
Indian Cricket team won the first ever T20 world cup title under the captaincy of MS Dhoni after defeating their arch rival Pakistan in the final by 5 runs. Dhoni also lead India in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016 T20 World Cups. However, he has now retired from International cricket. Now, BCCI has announced that he will be traveling with Indian cricket team as a Mentor.
