Just In! Cricket South Africa have arrived at Karachi airport today. South African Cricket team will be playing two tests and three T20 matches in their three week stay to Pakistan. Pakistani Cricket fans are overwhelmed to learn the news of Cricket South Africa Arrival in Pakistan. The official Twitter handle of Cricket South Africa broke this news to the internet.
This is the first time Cricket South Africa are visiting Pakistan for a cricket tour. Previously, they toured back in 2007 before the terrorist attack on Sri Lankan Cricket team at Pakistan Soul. In return, International Cricket closed its door for Pakistan and the Cricket South Africa too played against Pakistan in over seas matches.
However, Pakistan has improved its security in past few years. The successfully hosted PSL 2020 entirely in Pakistan. In addition, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and West Indies too toured Pakistan for test, ODI and T20 games. Now, the time has come for Cricket South Africa to enjoy the good hospitality of Pakistani people.
Pakistan will be hosting two tests and three T20 matches in this tour for South Africa. National Stadium Karachi will host the first test, whereas, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the second test match for the Proteas. However, the T20 series will only be played at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore between South Africa and Pakistan.
The South African Bowler Tabraiz Shamsi praised the tight security given to the South African Cricket team in his recent tweets.
